A seasoned lighting designer at the Elysian Theatre, Cathy Price is given the chance of a lifetime – to stray from her typical job lighting theatre productions to produce a show she has written. She's dreamed of bringing her plays to life, so this time she isn't willing to throw away her shot.

Cue Aaron Dobbs. A local celebrity, Hallmark film actor, and Cathy's university crush turned enemy. 

Cathy's show is on a tight deadline, and her friends hire Aaron to play the lead actor. A role she had, fittingly, written back in university to help herself get over him. 

When he shows up for the read-through, what could possibly go wrong?
